Joël Suhubiette invite Iván Solano, compositeur espagnol et Catherine Peillon, poète et photographe, amie fidèle de l’ensemble, à collaborer pour une nouvelle création. Naît alors Cielo Arterial d’Iván Solano sur le poème María de Catherine Peillon (voir à la fin de l’article), œuvre architecturale pour 18 chanteurs solistes sollicités dans tout l’ambitus de leur tessiture. Commande du Chœur de chambre les éléments Univers sonore électroacoustique, Cielo Arterial s’entremêle aux textures, images et sons du texte de Catherine Peillon sur lequel la pièce est composée. Représentation d’un ciel changeant qui rougit parfois… respire des gouttes d’eau... se réveille vif, énergique, plein de souffle et mouvement, et qui d’autres fois décompose ses nuages pour se révéler dégagé. Un ciel lisse et calme comme si la musique était lumière... les directions se croisent… ascensions, chutes, lignes droites… textures granuleuses, frottements, clusters… aussi accords parfaits et intervalles justes, posés… et puis… la phonétique de la langue comme un grain qui tisse la matière sonore qui compose l’air de la voix.
